2017 Squash Tournament

Format & Timing

Group Stage: 10:30 AM – 12 PM
- 3 groups of 4
- round robin format (each participant plays one another in a game to 15)
- Points are recorded for each game’s winner & loser
- Top 2 from each group move on + 2 highest-scoring 3rd place finishers
Lunch Break: 12 – 1 PM
Knockout Stage: 1 – 3 PM
- Best of 3 match (NOTE: each game to 15)
- Winner moves on to next round

Rankings

I grouped the 12 entrants into 4 tiers/pools, where the ranking within each pool was randomized. It does not lead to any advantages or disadvantages, but allows the group formation to have a bit more random-ness.
